As a German expat in the U.S., I see painting as a new language, one that blends different artistic and intellectual traditions to create a new layer of expression. My artwork serves as a meeting ground where the spiritual and the everyday converge, telling stories that resonate with viewers.

 

Abstract Portraits

 

My primary focus is to tell the often-untold stories of women through abstract portraits. Unlike traditional representation, my work captures a deeper truth by gathering traits, thoughts, and experiences into a meaningful composite. With a stark, expressionistic quality, my art aims to spark conversations, affirm individual experiences, and provide both aesthetic pleasure and intellectual challenge.

My art is for those who appreciate more than a simple, realistic depiction. I embrace the edginess of our existence, merging the struggle with the sublime. By blending American and European artistic traditions, I honor both the past and the present. Each one-of-a-kind piece celebrates key existential moments while specifically bearing witness to women's experiences.

My pieces range in size from 4x6 to 48x72 inches and are suitable for diverse environments, from residential to corporate. I also accept commissions, based on a one-hour interview to create a piece that tells your unique story.
